A RESEARCH STUDY FOR OLDER ADULTS
WHO ARE DEPRESSED AND WHO
RECEIVE HOME-DELIVERED MEALS
The Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry is currently conducting a research study investigating how Social Workers providing case management assistance may help reduce depression and disability in older adults who receive home- delivered meals.
- This research study is open to English-speaking individuals age 60 and older who feel sad or depressed, are limited by illness or disability, and receive home- delivered meals.
- Case management includes weekly visits by a social worker for 12 weeks to help connect participants to resources in their community. Each session lasts about one hour and takes place in the participant's home.
- Study participants will also receive $20 for each monthly research interview they complete, at home or by phone.
